There’s a new challenge! And it involves the HBCU Football Season and ESPN. The MEAC/SWAC Challenge will kick off showing HBCU Football on ESPNU and ESPN3 during this college football season from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
There will be a total of 13 games broadcasted over the ESPN network and live stream through the WatchESPN app. The first televised game in the 13th annual MEAC/SWAC challenge was between South Carolina State University and Southern University where the Southern Jaguars defeated South Carolina State 14 to 8 at the A.W. Mumford Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The next matchup is between Sam Houston and Prairie View A&M on September 7th at Panther Stadium in Prairie View, Texas at 7:30pm. Below shows the full schedule and the SWAC Football championship will be televised on December 2nd.
