OVO’s Houston Appreciation Week (HAW) is back again with Drake’s annual four-day festival consisting of special events like OVO pop-up shop, celebrity softball game, and multiple club appearances with special guests. Drake announced the HAW’s dates from July 20 to July 23 in Houston, Texas. Last year, Drake surprised his fans with a surprise performance at Warehouse Live while he was on his “Summer Sixteen” tour with back to back sold out shows in Houston.
Drake started Houston Appreciation Week back in 2014 to pay homage to Houston “for birthing my career in Houston.” Mr. OVO signed with Lil Wayne to Young Money after his Houston performance at the famous Warehouse Live in 2009. The past years festivities consisted of comedy set from Kevin Hart, Bun B tribute event, celebrity basketball game, and surprise celebrity appearances. This year’s HAW schedule involves a charity BBQ on Thursday, Drake’s club “The Ballet” Pop Up hosted by Lil Wayne on Friday, the OVO pool party happening Saturday at Clé, and ending the weekend at Spire nightclub hosted by Drake.
After Houston’s Appreciation Week, Drake will be heading up north to Toronto for his 8th annual OVO fest on August 7th. Drake posted the OVO lineup which includes most of his OVO artists like PARTYNEXTDOOR, dvsn, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, and of course Drake himself.
